WHY NATURAL PERFUMES?
Before I answer this question, please allow me to ask you, what is important to you from the following:
- That uplifting feeling of using a luxurious perfume?
- Eco sustainability, and safety for human and environmental health?
- Connecting back to your emotions and subconscious mind – listening to what is deep within, those memories, desires and ambitions?
- Carrying a presence – an aura of beautiful aroma, and the subtle scent that lingers and remains as your memory?
- Precious natural ingredients, resourced from all over the world?
If any or all the above, are important to you, Belle Botanique Natural Perfumes provide you a mean to fulfil all the above.
RAW MATERIALS
Natural Perfumery as an art, is an alchemical process of transmuting plants & herbs into living essences. Raw materials are flowers, herbs, roots, seeds, fruits, leaves, barks and resins from the plant kingdom.
Synthetic perfumery on other hand uses materials derived from:
- Terpenes
- Benzene
- Toluene
- Phenol
- Naphthalene
- Cyclopentanone
There are more than 4,000 chemicals used in synthetic perfumery. Majority of synthetic chemicals used in perfumery are not required to be labelled, they can be present in a formula without being declared on the packaging.
HIDDEN CHEMICALS IN SYNTHETIC PERFUMES
There is growing scientific evidence that many undeclared chemicals used in synthetic perfumes can have potential carcinogenic or teratogenic as well as allergenic effects. Further studies accompanied by stricter labelling measures are required to protect both consumer (particularly pregnant women) and environmental health.
